Parents Make The Difference:
It was recommended a second grader be retained. The parents were told she had dyslexia and ADHD. The school was not detecting eye-teaming issues. When 3D Learner assessed her, it was determined learned differently, had an attention issue and she skipped words and lines when reading. With our help supported by excellent parental involvement and interest, the student improved from being the worst reader in her 3rd grade class to the best reader in her 4th grade class. When asked the child how she made such impressive progress she said, “3D Learner taught me how to visualize what I read. It is really cool!”
A mom was told her daughter was at the 48th percentile and was encouraged to accept that “someone needs to be average.” Mom was referred to 3D Learner and enrolled her daughter in our reading program. A year later her daughter scored at the 95th percentile, She graduated in the top 10 percent of her high school class and continues to blossom as a well rounded successful human being
A rising 9th grader was struggling with reading. He was assigned to remedial reading and thus was forced to miss an elective class, which was the only class he liked. When he came to 3D Learner he was assessed as classic right-brain learner. Four months into a 3D Learner program he had improved his comprehension four grade levels. His reading speed improved from 200 to 360 words a minute. He did not have to take remedial reading in high school and in his senior year won three college scholarships.
The 3D Learner Program Makes The Difference:
A former 3D Learner student (1998) upon passing the bar exam informed his parents and they called us that very day to share their profound appreciation. They attribute the time he had spent with us was the key that made the difference for their son who was now prepared to enjoy a successful career.
Six years ago a distraught mom called, upset because she had been informed at the end of her daughter’s 3rd grade year that she was going to be held back. 3D Learner and her parents partnered to create a custom- designed program. Everyone worked hard to turn this around. The next year the daughter scored above grade level and has continued to do the same every year since.
A mom called us in March for help. Not liking the school system’s emphasis on testing and fearing her daughter would fail the reading test, she was planning to opt-out of the 3rd grade test. In a one-to-one session with the parents we explained how all the other avenues for promotion are much harder than the test. Although we could not guarantee their daughter would pass the test with only 4 weeks to be helping we agreed to create program. The daughter passed the test and then we continued with a solid program to support the daughter to achieve at grade level.
