Education Speaker Focused on… Success by 3rd Grade, Success in Months and Not Years & Helping Parents and Professionals to Make THE Difference
Success by 3rd Grade is our primary focus, because of 3rd Grade Retention risks and the value of Getting it Right by 3rd Grade. Our presentations are focused on helping students succeed with a collaborative approach. Our expertise is focused on understanding students who learn differently. They make up 62% of the entire student population! These students often perform well below their potential and have the capacity to do far better with the right help.
Success by 3rd Grade
With the implementation of new Florida State Standards and Common Core Standards around the nation, it is estimated that the percentage of students who will score below grade level in 3rd grade will increase from 43% to 67%. Even worse, the percentage of students who may be retained in 3rd grade will double or triple in 2015!
Mark Halpert, an educator, parent, advocate and professional speaker, offers presentations focused on Success by 3rd Grade. This presentation is designed to help parents and/or professionals understand:
- Why so many students are at risk
- What their profile is, and how parents and professionals can identify these students and their specific learning style, strengths and challenges
- How parents and professionals can make the difference with a collaborative approach
Mark has been an active participant at the State and National Level, working with the Florida Department of Education and the United States Department of Education to focus on Success by 3rd Grade. He is working to make sure there are solid plans in place that include parents and professionals as an integral part of the effort.
Mark also provides parents, teachers and other professionals with insights, tools they can use, and a collaborative model that has been used successfully by hundreds of parents.
