The 3D Learner Program  really helped R. He has now replaced "I can't" with "I can". It also showed him he can read, and he has been reading more than ever. It also helped him realize how many things he can do really well. His reading level has improved 4 grades in 11 months.
-Mrs. H., Tampa, FL.

The 3D Learner Program helped me to understand how I could interact more effectively with my daughter and the school. My first Individual Education Plan meeting with the school after the program went much better because of the advice you shared. I would recommend getting the word out to as many school districts and educators who will listen about this program and to develop parent and educator groups. I will definitely recommend this program. It is great to finally find positive help and encouragement. -Mrs. H., Pittsburgh, PA

If all we had gotten from the program was the improved relationship with our son, the program would have been well worth it. Fortunately, we got much more. Mrs. R., New York

He now really understands what he learns. I also understand him much better. Mrs. C., Florida

Overall he is a new kid!!! Our lives have changed dramatically!!! -Mrs. D., Florida

I can tell my daughter is now in control. She is much more self-confident. Homework now gets done much quicker and with less frustration. Mrs. F., New Jersey

Our daughter is now reading better than ever. She has also become her best self-advocate. Mrs. H., Florida

This is the first time my daughter feels that a teacher has really understood both her problem and how to help her. Mrs. D., Florida

We are so happy that we invested in K's future by enrolling her in your program. Mrs. M. Texas

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done for my son. I consider the program a complete success and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would not change a thing. While you did a wonderful job with the 3D Learner Program, you also did an excellent job in so many ways that were just as important, if not more important. We learned how to deal with and live with Dyslexia. You made it such a positive experience and I know we have skipped many of the problems families face due to late problem identification. R has a very positive attitude towards being a 3D Learner. While I know this is part luck on my part, most of the credit belongs to you for a skilled and professional job. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mrs. P., Santo Domingo

Is it Dyslexia, ADHD or a Bright Right-Brained Child?

If you are like most parents we meet, you are:

-   A committed parent who has gone the extra mile for your child, but ...

-   Your smart child is still struggling despite sending them to the best schools, providing extra programs and your spending nights and weekends trying to help them to "get it"

-   Perplexed by what others say.  The words Dyslexia, a Learning Disability or ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder) may have been used -- but they do not accurately describe your child who is smart and ...

Has an uncanny knack of remembering places they have been and details from movies they have seen, but struggles with ...

Reading comprehension, math word problems and putting their   thoughts on paper

     Standardized tests

Homework, which often takes too long with all to frequent battles

We are Mira and Mark Halpert.  Mira has her Masters in Education from the University of Michigan, Mark is an educator,  businessman and professional speaker.  We have four children.  Two were in the Gifted Program and two were labeled with Learning Disabilities (Dyslexia)-- but all four are smart, we gave them all the same help, and did even more for the two with a Learning Disability (Dyslexia).

We were startled in 1995, when a guidance counselor told our then 8th grade daughter Julie she was not college material, because her reading comprehension was 3 years below grade level.

Mira developed what has become known as the 3D Learner Program (R).  With the program, Julie gained 4.2 grades in her reading comprehension in 7 months, earned her Masters in Education and is now a Nationally Board Certified Teacher.

Since 1997, we have helped over 1100 students and the common traits of these students and their families included:

-   These kids were far smarter than their performance would indicate

-   They had a combination of right-brained strengths (remembering places, movies, and learning best when they saw and experienced information) and they often had one, two or three complicating challenges that might include:

     -   Visual perception issues -- skipping words and lines when reading,     difficulty copying off the board and/or reversing numbers and letters

     -  Difficulty paying attention to that which was boring or frustrating -- some had ADHD, many did not, but they still have trouble with attention -- and medication was not the preferred option

     -   They were a bright right-brained child as a result of either:

          -   One parent who was a bright right-brained person themselves (i.e. a surgeon, a pilot, a real estate professional, an engineer, an architect, an interior designer etc.), or

          -   The child was adopted or true, or

          -   As a result of frequent ear infections or other challenges

We call our students Bright Right-Brained Learners -- because they are smart and learn differently -- and we focus on transforming Smart Struggling Kids into Outrageously Successful Students

What differentiates our approach is we:

-   Focus on the bright right-brained child's strengths

-   Identify and address their challenges with natural and effective tools

-   Partner with parents to help you be the coach and advocate your bright right brained child needs

-   Start by offering free ways for you to learn more -- with either a Free Learning Survey, followed by a Free Consult, Articles we write, a Blog we post to weekly, and then a Free Teleseminar.

Our students have been very successful, including:

-   A 2nd grader who went from the 18th to the 83rd percentile

-   3rd graders who have:

    -  Improved their reading comprehension 3 grade levels in a year

    -  Gone from the poorest readers in their class to the best reader in their class

-   5th graders who have:

    -  Improved their reading comprehension by up to 4 grade levels in a year

    -  Gone from the 48th to the 95th percentile

-   Middle and high schoolers who have improved their comprehension 3, 4 and even 5 grade levels in a year and gone on to better colleges than they had expected

"My focus is to work with committed parents to help their child to be Outrageous Successful with tools that play to their child's strengths, identify and address their challenges and make learning fun", says Mira Halpert, who is a Right-Brained Educator and Mother

"If you have a smart struggling child you want to talk with 3D Learner". Dr. Robert Rehnke St. Petersburg, FL

We have 7 core beliefs that are very different than most about Bright Right-Brained Students

1-   The traditional belief is that learning disabilities and dyslexia must be remediated through phonics based training.  We have found that bright right-brained learners learn best when they see and experience information, are engaged and are taught to their strengths.

With the right training bright right-brained learners can be very successful.

2-  The risks are real.  What we wish we had understood was that:

   -   Close to 90% of the 1st graders with a word identification issue will be poor readers in 4th grade

   -   Over 70% of the 3rd graders with a Reading Disability (Dyslexia) will still have a Reading Disability (Dyslexia) in 12th grade

    -   55% of the children whose parents are college graduates read below grade level in 8th grade

Bright Right-Brained Learners often struggle even though they are from the best families, go to excellent schools and have benefited from extra programs.

3-  Some experts believe it takes 1 to 3 years to remediate a child with Dyslexia or a Learning Disability.

Our students often make major gains within 4 months.

We believe Bright Right-Brained students are far smarter than their present performance indicates, and can make significant gains with the right professional and parenting support

4-  Bright right-brained students often have attention and/or visual perception issues, which result in their:

    -   Losing focus when they are bored or frustrated

    -   Skipping words and lines when reading

    -   Avoid reading, because it is very frustrating

Gains can be more significant and happen quicker when you teach the way your child learns and addresses their attention and visual perception issues

5-  Self-esteem and self-efficacy ( a child's belief they can do something) are both very important and we focus on building both throughout everything we do.

"3D Learner is the best at building my son's self-esteem" R. O'Shea New Jersey

6-  An informed and empowered parent can make a huge difference -- the three biggest differences between the bright right-brained student who continue to struggle and the outrageously successful students are:

-   First and foremost their parents are informed, empowered and committed to making the difference.

-   The parents align themselves with the professionals who will help both their child and the parents -- none of us were born knowing how to help a bright right-brained child to succeed

-   The parents followed through and did what was necessary to help their child succeed -- they surrounded themselves with people who believed in their child, heard what the naysayers said, and proved they could make the difference for their child.

Parents have asked us if we could provide a straightforward and free way for them to learn more about their bright right-brained child and how they can make the difference.  We offer ...

A Free Learning Survey, a Free 10-minute consult and then a  Free Teleseminar on How You Can Make The Difference.

7-  Parents today have read many conflicting perspective.  You may have read that phonics is the answer, medication is the only choice, or if your child worked harder they could succeed.
