My name is Mira Halpert.  I have a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Michigan.  I have four great kids.  Two of them excelled in school; the other two were equally bright, but they struggled with reading comprehension.

I developed the 3D Learner Program (R) and have helped hundreds of students to pass the FCAT.  Our goal is to have our students pass the 3rd Grade FCAT, preferably with room to spare, and our appproach is far different than most.

AAt 3D Learner, we focus on the whole child.  I want your child to dramatically improve their reading comprehension, to love reading and for passing the test to be a natural consequence of the effort.

Therefore I start with what we call an

Assessment for Success for the 3rd Grade FCAT

Our strength is helping students who learn best when they see and experience information -- what we call a right-brained learner

Then, using the Structure of Intellect Assessment (R), we discover your child's learning strengths and challenges.

Then using a Visagraph (R), we find out how well your child's eyes track when reading -- a common problem for even the brightest right-brained learner

Using the Interactive Metronome (R), we find out how well your child can pay attention, with a focus on how they pay attention over time - -the 3rd Grade FCAT is a 70 minute test, and if there is an attetion issue it can have a major impact

Then we test for test anxiety -- we have seen student's heart rates spike at 152 when we just mention the words 3rd Grade FCAT

Then we assess for your child's present level of reading comprehension.  We have had 3rd graders who were reading 2 years below grade level, even when going to an excellent school, with great teachers and terrific parental support
